1. Introduction

Cargo Navis d.o.o. (“Cargo Navis”, “we”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect through the website www.cargo-navis.com and the application app.cargo-navis.com, why we process it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.

We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and Croatian data protection legislation.

3. Definitions

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual - for example a name, email address, phone number or IP address.

Processing means any operation performed on personal data, including collection, recording, storage, use, disclosure and erasure.

4. Data we collect

4.1. Website visitors

When you visit the site, our server automatically logs technical data needed to deliver content and keep the service secure: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, date and time of the request, and the requested URL. We use no tracking cookies and no website analytics tools.

4.2. Booking a demo

If you book a demo through our site, the booking is handled by Google Calendar Appointment Schedules. You provide your name, email address and, optionally, a short note about your business. We use this only to arrange and hold the meeting and to follow up on your enquiry.

4.3. Contacting us by email

When you email us, we process your email address, the content of your message and any details you choose to send, in order to answer your enquiry.

4.4. Application users

For users of the Cargo Navis application we process account data (name, business email address, role), usage data, and the content users enter - such as orders, vehicles, drivers and documents. With respect to data our clients enter into the application, the client is the controller and Cargo Navis acts as a processor, working on the client's instructions under a data processing agreement.

5. Purposes and legal bases

• Delivering and securing the website - legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site working and protected from abuse.
• Booking demos and answering enquiries - steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in business communication.
• Loading external content (Google Calendar) - legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in showing the demo booking calendar on the site.
• Providing the application - performance of a contract with the client (Art. 6(1)(b)) and compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) for accounting records.

6. Recipients

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers we use to run our service, and only to the extent necessary:

We may also disclose data to competent authorities where required by law, and to our accounting and legal advisers, who are bound by confidentiality.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

The application database is hosted in Germany (Hetzner). Some providers - Vercel, Resend, Google and Meta (WhatsApp) - may process data outside the European Economic Area, primarily in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid mechanism under Chapter V of the GDPR.

8. Retention

• Technical server logs - up to 30 days.
• Enquiry and demo correspondence - up to 24 months from the last contact, unless it leads to a contract.
• Account data - for the duration of the contract and 30 days after it ends.
• Accounting records - 11 years, as required by Croatian accounting and tax law.

9. Your rights

In relation to your personal data you have the right to:

• Access - confirmation of whether we process your data, and a copy of it.
• Rectification - correction of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data.
• Erasure - deletion of data once it is no longer needed for these purposes.
• Restriction of processing - in the cases set out in the GDPR.
• Portability - receipt of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection - to processing based on our legitimate interest.
• Withdrawal of consent - at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Send requests to info@cargo-navis.com. We respond without undue delay and in any event within one month of receiving the request. Where requests are complex or numerous, that period may be extended by a further two months; we will tell you if that happens. If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), azop.hr.

10. Cookies and external content

This site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and sets no cookies of its own.

The Book a demo page embeds Google Calendar. Opening that page loads the content directly from Google's servers, and Google may set its own cookies and process your IP address in accordance with Google's privacy policy. If you would rather it did not, you can book by emailing us instead of opening that page.

11. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for business users and are not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's data. If we learn that we have, we delete it without delay.

12. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), least-privilege access control and regular backups.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. We will notify users of significant changes by email or in-app notice.
